10 Writing Workbooks for Students in Grades 2-8

Aligned to the Common Core State Standards for writing, the Writing Program Series teaches students how to write, using a step by step approach.  The use of Concept Maps is incorporated to help students plan and organize their writing and also to visualize their sentences clearly.  The skills gained using the Concept Maps are then reinforced with writing activities. Students learn how to gather research, include dialogue, use descriptive words and many other important skills.  They focus on the structure and content of well written paragraphs.  They also learn about revising and proofreading.  Students end the program with a complete and well-written writing.

A Teacher's Edition is available for each one of the Workbooks. Included in the Teacher's Edition is guided instruction for each page of the workbook, as well as Mentor Texts in the genre of that specific writing.
