WHAT IT IS

10 WRITING WORKBOOKS

Each workbook covers a specific genre of writing: Friendly Letter, Business Letter, Persuasive Letter, Nonfiction Essay, Feature Article, Biography, Book Report, Personal Narrative,  and Persuasive Book Review Writing Programs.  The Workbooks span grade levels 2-8.

TEACHERS EDITION POWER POINT

Teachers are given a guided Teacher's Edition in the form of a PowerPoint.  There is an accompanying Mentor Text in the same genre that comes along with each teacher's edition.

COACHING

I coach you through the steps of using the Writing Programs and Mentor Texts.  Personal coaching is available one-on-one, or to a staff of teachers.  It can be done as a one-time training, or as a continuous support as the students are going through the writing programs.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Choose the type of Essay you want to teach (There are TEN Workbooks- each one teaches a specific essay)
  • The teacher receives a  Teacher's Edition which is in a Powerpoint presentation format. 
  • The Teacher's Edition has instructions on how to teach every page of the workbook
  • The Teacher's Edition contains Mentor Texts, which help teach and reinforce the skills being taught in the workbook
  • The Mentor Text can be shown to the students on a projector or smart board
  • Students receive a Student Workbook- where all the Draft Work is done
  • The skills are broken down into small doable steps
  • The workbook with all student work, and the final draft are put into a folder
  • The students design a cover for their writing and put in on the cover of the folder
  • The finished product looks and feels like a published book!
